I am currently working on a club simulation for a client. In the simulation above the dance floor there will be rows of transparent plastic tubes with LED light in them. You can see something similar in this video on the 1:35 minute mark:

The solution i thought of was creating capsules with a bumped transparent material on them and point lights inside then animating the light values using a script and animation curve.
However my "tube" is not affected by light from the inside. How can i make sure the an object is affected from internal light? And if it is not possible how would you approach this problem?
